ABOUT KIM

Kim is a passionate oboist and dedicated music educator with over 30 years of teaching experience. A graduate of Brandon University, she has built a diverse and vibrant career sharing the joy of music as both a performer and teacher.

 

As an active freelance musician based in Winnipeg, Kim has enjoyed performing regularly with Canadian Bacon Wind Quintet, Winnipeg Wind Ensemble, and Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) Orchestra. She has also performed as soloist and with many other ensembles, including the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, Soli Deo Gloria, and the CMU Festival Chorus Orchestra. 

 

Kim is known for her expressive playing and dedication to music education, often leading clinics in schools, where she enjoys inspiring young musicians and supporting music programs. Her long-standing commitment to teaching has inspired countless students, nurturing not only technical ability but also a love of music that lasts a lifetime.
